Need advice on accord 94
Hi Guyz.
I have a 94 accord Ex which I bought from some one. It has some damage on the door (driver side. probably hit a pole or something and has some indentation but door works ok), thats why I got it cheaper than average value. For clearing the inspection , I put some duct tape on that surface (actually 3 different surfaces) which shows metal ,so its deeper than just a scratch. I took it to a couple of auto body workshops and they gave an estimate of $1000 -$1200. I got this car for $1800 so dont wanna put another 1200 or 1500 on it. I was thinking if you can suggest an alternative to the body shop work . touch paint may be ? any other options.
Thanks !
Dave

Get rid of the duct tape. It will leave an ugly mess. If the door is caved in, you might try to pull most of the dent out with a strong suction cup or toilet plunger. Sand the edges where the paint is broken, prime and repaint the bare metal. It will probably look like crap, but not as bad as duct tape.
