Default Picked this up a lil' while back! 03' 600RR

So I got my Motorcycle license towards the end of last year via the MSF course. That course was seriously a joke. Maybe it was our specific course or the teachers really didn't give a **** and just pushed everyone through..So after i finally got the license i started my hunt for a red-black 600RR. I've owned 5 crx's to date and all but one have been red and thats what fueled my drive towards a red cbr. So I picked this up in February it had a tad less then 5000 miles which i thought was ok and decent for an 03'. And i had a hard time finding an older red/black RR in good shape. So after a few months i got a call from a local cycle shop letting me know they finally had got one and i didn't waste any time...called eloans, set up a loan and financed the entire thing and picked it up the next day. Since it was my first bike i chose not to ride it back the 40 some odd miles the shop was from. I loaded it up on the back of a friends pickup and just gently, safely brought her home.

So here's a few pictures of something i've just fallen in love with!

This is my favorite picture!

A few things to end this post....I was a little surprised how fast i made friends on 2-wheels. It was as if they are strictly just friends to ride with. I've been riding with a few groups here and there but our largest group has been nearly 15-20 bikes and all these guys are local so there's always someone to ride with. And since i'm the only RR in the group among a few F4i's and a few 929's everyone's wanted to try my bike out and i wanted to experience different bikes as well. I rode on 2 same years gsx-r 600's which really made me miss my bike as i just felt the rr was a lot better. And the last thing i traded with a friend was his brand new 06' gsxr1000 and to my surprise i really wasn't satisfied with that bike either. Sure it was fast but it didn't feel nearly as nimble and easy to throw as my RR. Maybe it was just me, maybe i'm too accustomed to riding a smaller/nimbler bike but by no means i'd ever step up to that bike. I felt like i could toss mine around a lot easier and it just felt like it handled a lot better. The only thing i wanna try to ride now is a 1000rr...

Firs thing i wanna get rid of are those stupid carbon-fiber wannabe turn signal's..to my knowledge one of the earlier turn signal broke by accident so the previous owner just replaced them some pos replacements..

nice clean bike

and no offense to you but I don't think you're in any position to judge the msf course as being shitty or not. It may seem pointless and like a lot of common sense but it does help. Also with comparing other bikes, you don't have enough experience to really judge the other bikes cause you barely even know your own. I'd be very careful with swapping bikes in groups like that especially when you are inexperienced. It only takes a slip on a gsxr1000 to loop the thing and total it

yea and i totally agree and i never generally ridiculed the msf course. And like i mentioned maybe it was our specific course, the theoretical part seemed to be very knowledge worthy but the actual practical course was a total joke. We didn't have any specific protocol to follow. It was basically just 2 old laid back teachers which just taught you how to obtain balance while being mobile on a bike and seriously nothing more. I just felt like I didn't learn my money's worth and they just seemed to push everyone through in a hurry. So maybe it was just my luck of the draw to experience an insufficient course!

An msf course is for the beginner novice, bottom line, people that don't know what the expletive they are doing.
They push people through and my only regret about them is they pass some people that really shouldn't pass because of the 300 dollar bill that is forked over.
