body kits
Hey guys Im new to the web site and a first time honda owner and I love it. I was searching the web the other day and came across a silver coupe in cali that had a custom wide body kit. The shop car was also for sale. Have anyone of ya'll seen that car, the reason i'm asking b/c that body kit was sick. I think it ran around 3k for the whole set up. I can't believe I didn't set it as a fav. If anyone can help or give me some pics of and other kits. Thanks
that looks cool but the one i saw if you looked from the side on the car the door panels looked pushed in and also the spoiler on the back was hand made to a 8 in little wing

Probably not. The tein Si was stolen and stripped down to a bare shell.

Looks decent but can't go wrong with HFP or stock OEM look IMO.

Anybody that has a body kit on their daily driver will tell you that they are a pain to maintain. I know from experience, the body kit bumpers are super low to begin with which is almost impossible not to bang up.
The fiberglass chips off way too easily, especially if the car is lowered. Speed bumps, potholes and dips in the road will scare the **** out of you with a body kit.
Lip kits not only look a LOT cleaner, but are easier to maintain. ABS plastic and polyurethane lips are a lot stronger in material than fiberglass bodykits. If you crack or gouge a lip, it can easily be replaced with another one (since you simply add it to the existing bumper). With fiberglass bodykit, it either has to be repaired (using fiberglass matting and resins) or replaced (costly).

ABS plastic and polyurethane isnt stronger than fiberglass, just more flexible, so it doesnt chip as easily. fiberglass is good for high speed applications, such as kits that actually aid in downforce and aerodynamics, since it is rigid, it wont deform under high speeds like abs plastic and polyurethane would.
and generally fiberglass is also lighter than polyurethane. but that depends alot on whos making the kit and what process they use to make the fiberglass kit.
