Slipstreams or SSR type X's?
my friend has a set of silver ssx's with a few scratches and i offered him my slipstreams with 80% tires left. his ssr's have no tires.

how bad are the scratches?

ask yourself this:
would you rather settle for fake rims that look like steel blacks from far and at night OR would you rather have some real "made in japan" rims?
which would you be happier with? thats what you should really ask yourself?
if it was up to me, i would go for the type X's since they ARE WAYYY lighter than the slips....if anyone says they arent then they are full of it because the type x's are 8.5-9 lbs with NO tires...late

Might as well...Nothing like being a lil' different from time to time. Although the SSR's weren't my favorite wheel of all time, I do like them better than slips. If I remember correctly, the type-x's were a tad on the heavy side? Am I correct?
I have a set of black TypeX on my EG, they're very light. I used to have a set of Rota slips when they first came out, but in San Diego, every other car has a set nowadays. I got lucky, and came across the type X, no bends, just a few minor scratches on one wheel, so I picked them up. When I took off the slips, I compared them to the X's, the SSR's were definately lighter.
