Default stock EX/SI stereo.

I was just curious as to how the stock EX/SI stereo with 350 watts and 8 inch subwoofer sounded. I have an LX and I want to boost the audio system just a bit, but I can't decide what size sub to get. Opinions and recomendations would be great.
Thanks.

To be honest, my bro has an LX and I have an Si and mine doesn't sound all that much better. A little bit more bass, a bit cleaner about it. Not worth the money to add. I'd go aftermarket system if a system is important to you.

Ehhh... I mean if you are going to upgrade yeah definately go aftermarket.

Back to what 24boosted said... There really is no comparison between LX and SI. SI sounds so much better, a LOT more bass, and due to the fact that it has the subwoofer and the many speakers, it sounds a LOT cleaner.

this post is pretty ironic actually, i was talkin 2 one of my friends when this girl in a LX pulled up next to us w/ her music blaring.. after she pulled off i was like.. dude my car sounds way better than that.. is there that much difference in the LX & EX stereos? I went and turned my car on and stood outside of it.. and HUGE difference i might say

dude, the stock stereo's in these cars are garbage. all it can hit is high's alright, the midrange has no punch to it, and the lows are terrible and rattly unless your listening to ur **** really quiet. i mean, go take a look at the **** that's in there... the speakers are made in mexico, they look like teh **** i found in my computer speaker setup when i took them apart for a school project back in the day, brassy as hell. the back frame on teh speakers/chasis w/e u call it looks like garbage metal made from brass and tin.

I have a FG1 and I thought the stock speakers were crap and didn't have any satisfaction. My mother's camery sounded way better then my speakers. I say don't waste your money on the honda speakers. I personally switched all my speakers out for some MB QUARTS. Best decision I ever did because now it's crystal clear and is paired beautifully with my JL 12W7. If you decide to upgrade do it the aftermarket way. Good luck and I hope this helps.

If you change you're stereo setup, go aftermarket.

Personally, I'm happy with the Si sound system as is.

Then again I've got a nice 500W system hooked up to my computer...
