Default Skunk2 Exhaust?

My Civic EX is bone-stock, and the first thing I wanna get is exhaust and I saw this one, and I know Skunk2 is a good brand to go with, but what do you guys thing about this system? Is it worth it? Deep tone, etc. I don't wanna my car to sound like rice , I just don't wanna buy it then realize that most of the money I spent was for the brand name. If it's not great do any of you guys have any suggestions around ths price range? Thanks

well no matter which one ou get you will not se any gains in power. Now with that said the skunk 2 one will be very very loud just keep that in mind, it is also very very big. So search around and find out what style you like n1 or ws.

Well I like loud, I just don't wanna sound like a fart going down the street, and what are the differences in N1 type exhausts and WS?

i have a skunk2 cat back on my 01 coupe. it sounds awesome, not too loud but very deep. only downside is my car is dropped and i scrape on every big bump. some parking lots i cant get in without teatering on the brackets. it also rattles against the frame in the cross over pipe like nobodies bussiness. it gets really annoying at idle speeds, but besides that i love the exhaust to death.

I have an Apexi N1 canister with 2 1/4" custom piping from exhaust manifold ( LX) back.

Great sound.

Thanks for the info. Just by looking at those two, would it be safe to say that WS style exhausts are deeper? Please correct me if I'm wrong which I probably am.

exhaust note doesnt fully depend on the canister.

All makes of WS/n1 style's have different sounds... IMO the cheaper the canister ( brand name vs. non-brand name) the cheaper the sound.

Also, piping size has a big influence on the sound of the exhaust. To big of piping will give a lame hollow sound, to small of piping doesnt give enough rumble.

So overall, would the Skunk2 be a good, smart buy? In terms of sound, style, brand, etc.

And also, why is it that on the 01-05 Civics, intake and exhaust has little to no effect on power? Just curious.

Ya thats the problem, I can't exactly "try" an exhaust, thats why I'm asking on here about suggestions and past experiences about this Skunk2 and other exhausts.

Wow that's pretty low, how many inches did those H&R's lower your car?

I got neuspeed sport spring and my Skunk2 is fine about floor clearance, Take it to a muffler shop to bend the part that is below the shift box to get it away from the frame and the rettles should stop. I think this is an awsome system. I got an 02 Coupe.

I have the HKS Hi-Power on my 04 EX and love it. It has a great sound at higher rpms and is quite at idle.

lol mines either too close to the frame and rattles, or its too far away and scrapes on everything. i would have expected better from skunk2 on fitment, but ohwell. at idle the exhaust piping gets a nice rattle going and it feels like your sitting on a rocket

Is it a loud rattle, or is it a subtle thing that can only be noticed if you really listen?

Ya dude im in the same position you are right now, im looking for an exhaust for my 2002 civic. I originally had my mind made up on a HKS high power exhaust, but on youtube of all places, i saw a video of a 06 civic si with a skunk2 exhaust on it, and yes its an Si, but when i heard it, i fell in love. A lot of it in my opinion is personel taste, but i loved the sound, and it definately had a rich sound to it.
