Default Wavy Roof

How do body shops fix a wavy roof? I have an eg8 and the roof is wavy like it got stomped on at one time. I was told they cut out the old roof along the seems and weld a new one. True?..................If so Could I get the Ex roof with the sunroof?

Depends on the extent of the damage. Could be repaired w/ metal work, filler, primer. Could have the skin replaced. The stock sunroof vs. aftermarket would depend on whats different between the two, parts involved on the sunroof option part and the non sunroof option part. One method might be less $$ and time. Generally on an old car like that, your better off finding the same car in better condition w/ the options you want.

well the waving isn't too bad but I'll post pics for an idea. To be honest that sounds like a LOT of work for welding a new roof in, but I just figured if I go that far a sunroof could be worth the money.
