Default 04-05 Ebay Fogs HELP.....Please (Pics)

Hi, I just purchased the 04-05 civic fogs. I need some help figuring out the harness. On the Honda instructions it says things about 16, 10, and 4 pin connectors and the Ebay fogs don't have any. All I have is 1 single pin plug left.

--Is #1 the constant power source and do I plug it into the fuse box under the steering wheel?

--Do I plug #1 into spot #2 in the fuse box or should I run it somewhere else?

THANKS

so you did plug it in the #2 spot under the steering wheel fuse box which is constant power.

It's not that difficult...

Just get one of those circuit testers for like $3.99 and figure out what spot has power when. You want a location that offers power when the car is on. You may be able to find a spot that offers power when the parking lights and headlights are only on.

You don't want to plug into a spop that offers constant power even with the ignition off.

Default Update

Well I tested the fogs and hooked everything up and grounded everything and the fogs work.
I pluged the wire into the contant power fuse and now the fog switch is always lit and I can turn on the fogs even though the car is off.

Where would be a good safe place to get power to turn on the fogs only when the car is on or the ACC position.

Already answered. You're going to have to do some testing.

I did some testing with my circuit tester but I just wanted to know if anybody knew of a good safe place I could get power to the fogs and I don't want to run it straight to the battery.

I hate doing electrical work in my car so I just want to make sure I am doing ti right the first time and that it is going to be safe and not catch on fire. BTW I have a inline fuse where the fogs get power.

i just got mine today and spent all afternoon to install... but lo and behold it doesn't work and my interior is still gutted...

did yours come with a 4 prong female connector that seems to go to the one on the left of #2? it fits but there are only 3 prongs on the fuse and on my harness it only has a connection on the one farthest to the left. i think thats were the problem is cause when even when i have the engine on the fog light switch isn't on... indicating no power right? i'll post pics tomorrow.

Mine didn't come with the 4 prong female conector like you. I tested the male prongs on the plug next to spot 2 and that is an optional plug and the last prong on the right turn on when the parking lights are on.

I think you don't have any power going to the switch and fogs. you might have to tap it into a power source becasue of the plugs you got.

so did you get yours to work?

okay here are some pics...

1 is the four prong female with only a prong that actually has a line as indicated by the wire... the male part only has three and is connected to nothing

2 is the one prong and was a pain to connect for some reason

this is the switch and relay.... the switch doesn't light up or anything...

this is the glove box... i donno where that 4 prong connector goes to... it is part of the subharness... it also has a 1 prong connector in the fender that i don't know what is for...

any help would be appreciated... last resort would be to go to the dealers and buy a real harness/switch.

I wired everything together and everything works!!!

I just had to extend one wire. The wire that goes from the pass side to the center console. I wired my fogs to the parking lights so that way I don't forget to turn them off and drain my battery.

My kit only had a one prong conter that goes to the fuse box that I cut and taped into the parking light that is in spot G9 on the fuse box under the steering wheel.

This should help you. If the ebay fogs are OEM style then this should work. GL.
