Default shorter final drive with small turbo?

Ok so I've finaly got almost everything for my build(which seems like has hit delay after delay for months on end now....was planning on being totally done in march ).

I will be using a greddy td04 turbo @ about 8-10PSI(whatever it takes to get 200whp) which as pretty much everybody knows is a very quick spooling turbo. I found a good deal on a fully rebuilt EX tranny with a SRR 4.7 final drive in it.

How much of an improvement would the 4.7 final be over the stock which is 4.25?

I was able to get 2 car lenght on a EF with B16 into my EF with D16z6 having the ATS 4.7 final drive into my stock SI tranny.

that said, if you plan on boosting the bitch, well, you might not get any traction before 3 with this setup, I ran the greddy Kit with TD05 at 8 psi on this tranny, and didn't had any traction in second gear, I wasn't running fat tire though, 155-70R13...

People on D serie normally use the DX tranny wich you have in hand, or even heard the 4 gear tranny are the turbo best friend's too cause of the long *** gear ratio.

Hope this help

wow thanks for the info I already have an ex tranny in the car, but the 3rd and 4th synchros are on their way out. I figured why spend a couple hundred replacing 2 synchros when for 600 I can get a freshly rebuilt tranny with a 4.7 final. Think I'd probally get the OBX LSD too

as for tires...I won't be running anything smaller than a 195/50/15, and possibly as big as a 225/45/15(if I get the 15x8 wheels I want) and in either result would be a good summer tire such as the SPT or even better than that
