Question about installing New Headlamp assemblies ? ? ? ?
Ok I have ordered a new set of Headlamp assemblies for my 00 Ex coupe . Now I have heard that you have to remove the front bumper and all to take out the old assemblies and install the new ones . The Main reason of this post is , Are my lights gonna be out off alignment ? If so would it be easier to align them with the front bumper off? Or are the headlights pretty much plug and play and they will be automaticly aligned when I bolt them down to the car(((Thinking maybe the car frame is designed for it))) . Anyone that has replaced their stock units , advice and hints would be appreciated .
You have to take the bumper off. I have an EK front on an EG hatch, I had to take the bumper off when I changed my headlights.
yes you have to take off your front bumper. 2 bolts, 1 in each fender, and 2 under the bumper. than 4 bolts for each headlight. but with the bumper, comes off the grill too, so you have to take off those self-tapping screws. and yes they will probably be misaligned when u install new ones, so align it by turning on your lights on a flat surface pointed toward a wall and align it from there.
