Meguiars Gold Class Paste Wax, Epic Wax, Zaino, all these are really great and provide equally great results. Its really your pick, just don't cheap out when you buy wax. God forbid you buy turtle wax.

Holy **** THAT sells me on zaino.. I thought the car was Galaxy Grey in the first pic

The only thing that worries me is I only saw a polish from zaino, not a wax. Does a polish offer the same protection?

ok A polish will make it look wet. But has no protection. You need to top it off with a wax. IMO wax will also make your car alot wetter looking .

It really depends. There are a lot of short term products that look incredibly deep and shiny that last only a few weeks before you have to reapply. Generally you lose depth as wax longevity increases. I'm a fan of shining monkey in the summer for a good look, but in the winter, i dunno. I think i'll have to try that Epic stuff, because the stuff I used last year they warned me that it contained some petroleum products.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it, but I love Zymol. It really shines the paint up and lasts for a while too. Its also kind of pricey.

06 black si what u use ? i think you said about epic.... i too was wondering what steps should / can do to protect and keep it looking show car conditions. it was recently painted with a custom paint job and i really have no clue what steps (polish / wax? or polish glaze wax or sealent?) im soo confused since which would be proper ones due to new paint job. Fianly i was told by the body shop that let it settle for 1 month but they said that 3 months is fully cured for a solid finish. plz help out guys, i have i went with a more corsure metalic silver finish

personaly i would wait to touch it for 3 months, but i always play it safe with my cars.

I've also always been told not to wash the car with any soaps that have detergent in them. It may sound dumb, but i used to wash my car with shampoo, becuse it doesnt have detergent in it. Now i just take it through a brushless car wash.

As far as wax goes i havnt waxed yet. its coming soon with summer here though.

I picked up my '07 LX on 5/4. I did some reading on this board and bought a bottle of the Epic Prima. I have yet to apply it, but there are some good things said about Epic products on the Internet. Based on one of the replies above I am wondering if I should wait a month or two before applying wax. Granted I do not have any custom paint work, so this may not be an issue.

Wax away!! Today would be perfect. You will love the results. Be prepared to stare at your car for awhile
