Default questions about ys1 mated to b18c1

i have a 93 gs, and im going to swap my b18c1 soon. i have the gsr tranny already but its hydraulic and id rather not fool with it if i dont have to. the question is how well does the ys1 do with a high revving vtec motor? i originally thought the ys1 was the da gsr tranny, but the code on mine says the same.. any input?
edit-will the same clutch i have exedy stg1/flywheel combo work with the ys1 ok?
