I need a new transission for an Automatic FWD 2.0SI Honda Prelude. I was wondering if there were and other honda models that are interchangeable. And if there area any what extra parts would i need?

 

there are no other honda tranny's that will mount up without complete and utter deconstruction and customization.

the 3rd gens are the bastard childs of the honda family.

I know i'm on my 2nd one.

Why dont you just go find a replacement tranny in a junk yard for like 50 bucks...


Look for a donor car with heavy exterior damage... this most likely means the car was in perfect running condition when the car was put down for the count...coincidentaly meaning the tranny's still good. But not always. I like to think the odds are in your favor though.
