H22A in a 96 EK
It is a bitch! You will burn LS/VTECs, Type-r (in EK chassis) and Hang with CRV/VTECs (and be more reliable) if you get it put in. You need a mount kit ($600) and that is about it. You can usually find a JDM h22A with a LSD for about $2400 . You also have to make your own shifter setup. But you can mount it where ever you want as long as the cable is straight. We have done them and it ended up costing about $4500 installed. Dont believe the hype about copeous amounts of understeer. If you get one of the good kits that mounts the engine as far back as possible the car handles fine. Not N1 endurance racing fine, but certianlly SOLO II fine. It is a very drivable swap. DO NOT LET SOME SHOP CUSTOM MAKE YOU MOUNTS FOR THIS!!!!!!!!! I cant remeber who makes them now. Check with Place Racing and HASport. If you dont get the good ones then your car with suck a big fat one!
If you want crazy power.

i am waiting on my swap to get here and after i install i will post pics of install, costs of everything bla bla bla...... Will be about 3-4 weeks because im going to jamaica next week. I hope thinkin about it the whole time im there doesnt ruin my trip
. As far as custom mounts go, my friend has a H22A in his EK and he had a very reputable shop custom make his, and his car handles great and runs stronger and faster than any other stock H22A ive seen in a EK. The mounts are solid so the car rattles like a ****, but all the power goes right to the ground. He ran a 13.4 basically stock (headers, and exhaust). My advice to anyone doing this setup is to get a very good suspension! That is a big heavy bastard your putting in there. I went with Tein HA because Apexi is some price gauging sons a bitches
