Aem V2 intake with aftermarket hood = :(
I just got my aem v2 intake today. I removed my old aem sri and started putting in the v2. First of all the thing doesn't fit right at all. The filter sits practically on top of the tranny shifter cable and then you can move it and it sits on a bracket. When i finally got it to fit right , with all the hoses in place, i go to shut my hood and it wont shut. I have an aftermarket fiberglass hood and it wouldn't shut. even disregarding the hood problem, the intake still wouldnt mount to where you are supposed to mount the intake, and when you have the hoses in place and you go to tighten the clamp on the throttle body the filter moves and sits on the tranny cable again. I finally forced my hood shut after about an hour of re-adjusting the intake. Now theres a nice little ding on the v2 and on the underside of my hood. Now it looks like i hit someone on the front end, thats how bad my hood fits now. When i took it on a run, it runs a lot better than the sri, v-tec is LOUDER, big time. Its a decent intake but aem sucks at making it fit right. anyone else expirencing any of the same problems with their v2 on their type S?
just a socket wrench forgot what size.... its not holding any part of the trans it connectes to the trans and was helping hold the stock air box in place
