Rims on 96 gsr
So i just got a set of 16'' rims for the teg. I got 205/45r16's for tires. To me it looks like that after the car has been set to a "lowered" ride height, that i'm actually running close to stock ground clearance due to the increase of wheel size. I was just wondering if this was normal. It seemed pretty normal to me after i thought about it
that should not be the case. You increased your stock wheel size by one inch but to compensate you reduced your tire's aspect ratio from 55 to 45. The overall diameter of the wheel/tire combo should be very close to the stock setup.

The larger the wheel diameter, the smaller the tire to fender gap needs to be to look correct.
If you don't believe me, go look at a brand new Civic. The gap looks appropriate, but stuff 19s under there with the stock suspension, and it suddenly looks like a 4x4.

Yeah i guess that's what i was getting at. I've seen up to 17's on tegs and i've thought they looked good. I don't want my car to look like a 4x4. I guess we'll see what it looks like after the corner balance.
