i've been thinking about doing a 5 lug conversion for my civic hatch, but i cant afford the itr 5 lug conversion..my cousin is about to get rid of his 97 prelude and he said he will sell the suspension for cheap to me. my question is...will the prelude conversion work for my hatchback?? can i use my shocks/springs from my hatch (i have tein), or do i have to use the prelude ones? how hard is it to do this swap? he is getting rid of the car in the next day or 2 so i need answers fast if possible...

 

Prelude suspension doesn't interchange with Civic suspension. If you get a CTR or ITR 5-lug setup, you can retain your TEIN dampers/springs.

 

you can make it work but it is not a straight bolt up job.
