Yet another thing that is broken on my damn car!!!! This is really pissing me off! I bought this car b/c it was supposed to be reliable and good on gas. Neither are true!!!!! It's a daily driver car gone to hell.

I apologize to all the people who have had good experiences with their cars. This is just too much to deal with now.

The next thing that is broke:

The computer on my 94 Accord LX Auto.

The air conditioner on my car doesn't work at all and it was traced back to the computer not operating corectly!!!!

Does anyone have a clue where I could find a computer really cheap? At this point I probably wouldn't care if it came from the local chop shop if there were some around me. This car is costing me waaaaaaay to much money to bear! I need air conditioning.

 

Better get an second opinion. Is the car otherwise running fine? New ECU for A/C problem does not seem right.

If you do need an Accord ECU, it shouldn't be too hard to find at a salvage yard. Shouldn't cost too much either. Or you can check around here. I've got an ECU, but it's spoken for.

 

i agree w/ 4door... how is a/c tied in w/ ecu??

 

remeber there was a recall on the a/c wiring due to a shot/ electrical fire hazad, i dont know if its just isolated to one system, it could affect another, what do you guys think?

 

i believe that recall had something to do with the fan wire harness.. all they did was relocate it to kep it from rubbing and shorting out

 

i actually have an extra computer for a 94 Accord LX Auto...i dont know what i can do for it...lemme know if you need it.

Thanks everyone! No I didn't need a computer. Though the problem was partially due to the computer from what the guy was saying, but its end up that the wiring in the car is completely f'ed up. The guy working on the car said he couldn't even follow his wire schematics to what was in the car. He had to build an outboard circuit to controll the fans, compressor, and temp control, and engine idle. $425 later my air is working, but now it quit working, something broke so now it has to go back.

That, and when the air is blowing for a few minutes, it starts to slow and stop blowing air, even though I can hear the fans going???

 

Bizzare. Was there any alarm work done on the car?

 

sounds like you would be best off going to a salvage yard and buying some un "customized" harnessess and have those put in rather than trying to fix what could be numerous little problems.

 

Heh, simply put, this is just a nightmare of a car. I'm crossing my fingers for the next thing.
