Default How long do kumho Ecsta SPTs last aggressivly driven ?

I bought some brand new Ecsta SPT's in 205/50/15 and they are some of the best street tires I have ever driven on, especially for the price. Cornering are where these tires shine the most. Forward acceleration traction is not glorious, but still very good. Braking is also greatly improved, this is the very first thing I noticed after installation.

The Kumho ecsta SPT gets 2 from me.

But I had another main question, How long will these tires last aggressivly driven on ?

I usually state that they ought to last 25-45K miles.

What makes the difference between those who get 25K and those who get 45K?

If you assume:

- no racetrack use

- tires bought new, and used until 2/32" tread depth (when the treadwear indicator bars are flat across)

- pressure set to the car manufacturer's recommendation and checked regularly

- tires rotated front to back periodically

...then you're more likely to end up at the upper end of that range (i.e. 40-45K miles).

Just my best guess. YMMV.
