Default trans in hybrid crx w/ tipe-r

hi there
i am about to do my swap (B18c5 into 91 crxsi) i want to stay withe a cable trans so i want to go with a 90-93 teg trans. will i have to change the fly wheel and starter to the 90-93 one? is there a difernce between the rs and ls trans?

one outher thing the injectors on the B18cd5 are not pek hold ( in short they will not plug into my 91 harnes) right? should i just use b18b injectors , of rewire the harness for the plugs. thanks

do not use an LS trans. the gears are not right for the ITR motor. the tranny will make the car feel slower than its supposed to be. what u can do is use a JDM SIR trans. its cable and can also be found with factory LSD. LS trans on an ITR motor for even thinking about that one.

i don't know about that one. but really i don't think you want to go through the trouble when u can just get a JDM SiR trans with LSD and be just fine. also, if u are will to take a tranny apart then why aren't u will to convert to hydraulic trans.

JDM S1/J1 damn near identical to the ITR gearing, no LSD however, but cable none the less. 90-91 clutch disk(24mm). I had one, short short gears. Perfect for that ITR engine.

an s1 would be just fine. Ys1 with lsd is the best choice.

I personally have a JDM s1. This is the way to go. I like it a lot more than a y1 but lsd is nice. Perhaps a custom JDM s1 with lsd would be ideal? You could get the lsd out of a JDM lsd y1 tranny maybe?
