MY ITA car is almost done. I went by to see how the cage was coming along... it was 99% coomplete (only have to add window net tabs).

I should have it down at the September HPDE event.... some pics.

Cost mostly.... I was looking for something sitffer and safer than a bolt-in but I didn't want to break the bank....

a few weeks ago, some high school guys in Dallas were driving around in their souped up car, with a new v10 engine, and a roll cage. They went right into a tree, and both died....... roll cages dont really do alot, unless a semi lands on top of you or something.

 

Not to mention that a roll cage on the street is just plain stupid unless a helmet and 5/6-point harness is worn all the time. "Let's put all of these big metal bars right next to my unprotected head! Yeah!"

BTW, nice looking cage. Am I the only one who finds looking at pictures of high-quality cages very relaxing, much like many people feel while looking at nature pics?
