Default Warmed up Hesitation

Ive searched but nothing came up, anyways, My car runs good for the most part...however when I sit in traffic for a while and the water temp sensor goes to half (max operating temp) the car starts hesitating a little bit when i step on the gas...any idea what could cause this?(92 Si 5Speed H23)

Everyone told me to change the Knock Sensor, but that didn't do the trick. You could try it for about $140 and it may work or maybe not.

i have the exact same problem , but my temperature meter dosnt go to max , only one bar , it never reach higher then one bar , but when ever i'm in traffic and on a hot day my idle will rise, it once reached the point of idling at 2000 rpms , this happend when i sat in traffic for 35 minutes , does any one know what could be causing it to idle that high. ?

weird, your temperature should hit the first two bars, anything after that is pretty much bad.

half is two bars

don't know about high idle, but hesitation could be any number of things. does it hesitate at low or high rpms or both? if the ignitor is going bad it will fail more at higher temps.

it's not very cheap to check this or the knock sensor because the parts are rather expensive

if it only happens when the car gets to full operating temperature it makes it sound like a closed loop problem. Like an O2 sensor, have you already checked the basics like plugs, cap and rotor? Does it hesitate like a misfire? or just no power?
