Default Portflow valvetrain upgrade

I am upgrading a b16a head with Portflow inners and ti retainers. I am also looking to upgrade the outer valvesprings. DO I keep the stock b16a outter valvesprings on both intake and exhaust or do I upgrade with ITR outers with both exhaust and intake being replaced?

Any feedback is appreciated.

do this:
replace stock with portflow EVERYTHING! including the stock retainers...replace them with Ti ones.
replace the stock B16 valves with Type R exhaust and intake
port and polish the head
do a 3 angle valve job
replace the intake manifold with a Type R one and port match it to the head
keep the rocker arms and stuff...should be good for aggressive aftermarket cams
get Skunk2 stage II cams
keep the stock valve cover
DO NOT cut the valve cover for tuning; instead get a cut one and tune with that
cover the cam gears (Skunk2 cam gears) with stock cover
bore out throttlebody (maybe 64mm or so)

that should be a nice sleeper setup...do that and you should be happy...

WHY do you need Ti retainers on a motor with stock the stock redline of an ITR ?????

Ti retainers are high replace/maintnence item , STOCK ITR is more than enough

i took my GSR head down to Portflow and he did all the work for me including the Portflow inner springs. ITR outter (yellows all around) and Portflow Ti-retainers. i talked to Tom about different cams and he said that with his setup you can run Toda B's, Skunk2 2's anf Jun 3's...its a pretty good setup, i rev my car up to 9 K here and there and it has no problems
