Default Can you add a sub to an OEM CD Deck?

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to hook up an external sub to the OEM CD Deck of a 99 Civic SI?

I thought about getting an add on tape deck and splitting the signal from an iPod to a tape adapter and also to a sub..would that work? I would just have to control the volume from the ipod and not the CD player

thanks in advance for any help

go to local car audio shop and get a line-out convertor....basically it converts high level speaker wire output to low level RCA style output.....hook to the front or rear speaker outputs then go to your amp.

so you can just patch into the front or rears without affecting the sound of the other speakers?
