Opinions on a dent that I may attempt to fix myself...

Now that the pictures are out of the way, I'm looking to pick up this car. These aren't the greatest pics, but how difficult would it be to repair? I'm under the assumption that rear quarter panel repair is difficult/expensive. I'm a basically a novice as far as body work is concerned, but I would like to paint my car myself. If you feel that this is beyond the scope of a novice, how much do you think it'd cost to be repaired?
Thanks,
Lamar
use a hammer and dolley to puch it out, but leave an indent when u get close to level, then sand to metal, clean it, and bondo it, higher than level, and sand it down to the shape of the quarter panel, i've dont it on small dents, but one that big u might want to take to a shop and have them shape it, then just paint it urself
also check the faq at the top of the paint and body topics page, gives a detailed explanation

I just finished fixing similar damage on my own car. Use the steps provided by the poster above. It cost me about 100 bucks in supplies. I've never done body work, and I think it looks decent. I definately would not attempt it if it were my "good" car tho.
because the panal is dented so bad it has actually stetches the metal so it might be a littlt difficult but it can be done with determination, good luck
