I heard it was "don't go lower than 1.5 inch". I heard though, I don't know from personal experience. I have Konis instead.

I have 2.5" drop and it runs smooth. Anything lower will be bouncy.

I doubt the shocks would blow. I got my car lowered and was driving around with an excess of a 2" drop on my STOCK shocks for a year. These are also shocks that have been on a car that is now 6 years old. When I finally got my Koni Yellows I tested out all the shocks to see if any of them were blown. Only ONE of the shocks showed that it was starting to go.

I then put on my Koni Yellow shocks and drove around with a 3.5" drop for 3 months before I finally raised the car back up. The car will not ride that great at a 3.5 drop. 3" or a little above is much better from what I have noticed. I have probably sitting at 2.75" all around now and the car rides a HELL of a lot better than it did at 3.5. Hope this helps.

yeah. i was rollin around with about a 3.5" drop on my civic for about 6-8 months

i just recently bough Koni yellows and one front was blown, one rear.

i rode around on my Konis with about a 5" drop (believeit) for about a week, but the ride was so incredibly bad i lifted it up to about the tops of the tires, rides like a dream, i need to cut off some more bump stop though and drop it a tad because i cant stand being too high.

Konis RULE
