What ECU for B16a2
Hey, I am trying to rebuild my car from when it was stolen and I need to replace the stolen ECU. My problem is Im not sure what ECU it was as I just threw in what came with the swap. so what would the be the best ECU for a B16A2 in a 92 hatch SI. thanks! Oh and does anybody have one or know where to buy one?
well to answere your questions, you should use the obd-1 92-95 si ecu,AND TRY EBAY FOR LOCATING ONE,IVE GOT THE B16B SWAP IN MY 2000 CIVIC AND IM USING OBD-1 ,93 SI ECU AND HAVE NO PROBLEMS.........CHEERS
u can chip a p28, there are a few guys on this board that can do it. or u can get a p30 and it will run just fine. the p30 is a del sol dohc vtec ecu. and the p28 is a 92-95 EX/Si ecu.
ecu which will work like stock:
JDM P30
USDM P30
P61
ecu which can be chipped to DOHC VTEC (but are sohc vtec when left stock), trade off is that most are race programs and gas mileage sucks
JDM P08
JDM P91
JDM P70
JDM P71
USDM P28
USDM or JDM P72 (both are dohc vtec but can be chipped with higher vtec switch)
JDM P30
USDM P30
P61

thanks for the replies. I was wondering if their was a link or something that would describe all the specs(rev limiter vtec crossover) of the ECU's you have listed.
thanks again to everybody.
