Yep and if you getting it, there is or was a rear fog switch for the 4th gen on ebay, jump on that.

 

ive never heard of a rear fog light! did that come from the factory over in japan? and where can you find one?

 

do you mean rear foglight as in that random light they have on cars in europe? if so thats not a fog light bud.

Its not a random light, it is a honda option. It is a rear foglight. It doesn't have quite the same function and look of the front one's but it is the same nonetheless.

 

Rear foglight is a legal requirement in the UK and probably most of the rest of Europe too.
Japs dont have them - just front fogs.

Stock location for the rear fog does look ***** - unsymmetrical

Rear fog light as told to me by a EuroDM Prelude Owner.
I wonder if that car comes with an F20B?! DAMN that Rear Window Wiper.
anyone ever wonder why PRELUDE is on the back of cars considering English is only the Official language in a few countries???

 

what is it really for? Dont seem like it would help if like your backing up

I am curious to that as well.....It doesn't have anything to do with backing up, I think its there more for dark road cruising.

 

helps others too see you better during foggy conditions.

safety thing... if tail lights were not enough already.

 

that would kinda make sense but if they cant see to lights bigger than that not sure if it will help unless its bright as hell

It could be used as a direction thing though.....who knows, its obviously there for a reason.

This kit was designed for use in the often-foggy areas of Europe. It replaces the driver's side reverse light assembly (the fog lamp kit does not incorporate a reverse light), and makes the vehicle drastically more visible from the rear during foggy conditions. Includes the single driver's side fog lamp assembly, wiring harness, switch, and instructions.

its nothing special i guess its just the fact that in europe it gets foggyer then here in the US so its a requirement like that of emission tests here. people have ask'd this before so i dunno if it comes up if you search it. people sell them on ebay all the time if you guys really want one...

edit* this was just the kit that i found for sale...not all replace the reverse light as you can obviously see by the lude but its just the explination i found for one on a 350z
