I'd go with laminx, because you're gonna get ticketed for them if a cop sees them, smoked headlights and taillights=bad

Yeah it works. It is not permanent either cause you can take it of with some nail polish remover and elbow grease. I love it, I smoked my tails just a little to take the edge of the red. I am going to do LED's when I get home and smoke them darker though.
Why smoke them darker if they're the single thing that keeps other drivers aware of your intentions? If you brake and they can't tell during the daytime, get rearended, and the police come out, you COULD be held accountable by the other person's insurance company because your lights are illegally blackened.
A light tint is OK, not legal, but at least harmless enough...blacking out is asking for trouble.

I had my tailights all smoked (actually lamin-x called what I got charcoal) But I didnt like the way it made the back end look. The lights are kick *** when I got to looking at em. So i just left a section charcoaled.
u guys do know the leds on our tail lights are pretty weak...
now add some tint to it...and viola...on a sunny day, you suddenly stop and t he guy behind you can't see you're applying the brakes and BAMN!
who's at fault?
you...why?
modifying lights that do not comply with DOT is illegal and you will be fined for modifying headlights, copyright infrigment, wreckless driving, etc...

i agree too a light smoke tint is ok even tho you'll get pulled over but the tint ideal is great removeable and easier and no mess compared to spray can. And yes maybe you got lucky but again i woud maybe apply a light light (very light) tint

Just smoking the clear part where the taillights and reverse lights are is fine, but the people talking about blacking out their whole taillight...that's just asking for trouble.

personal experience: some guy was on highway with blacked tail lights, wasn't a civic, didn't have a wing stop lights like us civic. Couldn't tell when he is breaking when sunlight reflect on his stop lights. Bottom of the story, I got out of the lane where he was in, and so did everybody else behind me. Very dangerous imo.
But then again, it does look pretty cool lol
I was temped once... still temped actually to put something over it to make it darker... but... have... to... be safe....

That looks REALLY good actually. I really am not a big fan of smoked tail/heads whatsoever either..
