i have a 95 acura integra special edition manual trans. when the car is started and clutch in it will not go in gear. but when i turn the car off and push the clutch in it will go in every gear. now with the car started and in neutral with the clutch in, the clutch shakes really bad. and when i start the car in first it wants to go by itself with the clutch in. can anyone help me please.

Well... it should not surprise you at all that your clutch is bad. Time for a new one.
Your symptoms sound like what I had a while ago. Prob. the clutch disk/pressure plate etc. are shot.. Mine, it was that plus a cracked flywheel I believe. I had changed my master cylinder and it hadn't fixed anything - you just need a complete new clutch, it sounds like.

 

sounds like your pressure plate has gone bad. time for a clutch/pressure plate/ t.o. bearing

 

mines doin the same thing, but everything is brand new..

 

sounds like your clutch is dragging or your throw out bearing took a poop on you.

top dog- try adjusting your clutch. Sounds like it's dragging as well but you gotta check it out

 

its hydro, theres nothin to adjust but bleeding the system...
