96Accord losing Coolant help?!?!
It's leaking coolant from someplace. Can't tell if it's from the radiator or what. Haven't had time to take a good look at it. Until later tonight after I get off work... Anyway. I was just wondering...
There is the radiator, and it looks like some other cooling device that sits in front of the radiator.
What is the cooling device that sits in front of the radiator?
trans cooler (it's auto), oil cooler, some sort of cooling device for the AC? knowing what this is would help me out lots. From a quick look, it seems that I hit a small bird sometime and it looks like that it's leaking from the cooling device in front of the radiator, but I don't know what it is and I don't even know if it actually flows coolant, oil, or trans fluid. I would really like to know before I try removing the radiator and this other device.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance

If you're leaking coolant and seeing puddles, they should be green and smell like syrup. The thing in front of the radiator is the A/C condenser. If that was punctured your A/C would not blow cold air.
Ok so from what you guys are telling me is that the AC condenser is what sits in front of the radiator.
then the problem is definately coming from the radiator.
And yes there is coolant on the ground. And yeah it smells like coolant.
thanks for the help.
this will definately shorten up the time. It's a snap removing and installing a new radiator. Had to do the same thing on my GSR. (Honda radiators suck! IMO. End caps always crack).
Thanks again.
