Good 'ol spark plug question
So I'm going to tune up the gsr today. Getting a new cap & rotor (oem), changing the tranny fluid (honda mtf), valve adjustment (1st time wish me luck!), and replacing the spark plugs. Should I buy the cheaper copper ones, or spend the money for the platinum? I'm N/A with minor bolt-ons if that makes any difference. I've read that the copper ones are fine, but the platinum lasts longer. Any input is appreciated.
Just use the platinums. You won't see any performance difference and cost comes out about the same anyway if you replace the coppers a bunch of times before having to do the platinums again.
I just did my valve adjustment for the first time over the weekend also. It wasn't too hard since I had a friend help and I had the Snap-on tool. And then I bled the brakes and bled the clutch fluid too. You might as well do those things too while you're at it. My front right brake fluid came out pretty dirty. Maybe that's why my car would pull left slightly when I braked hard. And the clutch fluid was nasty. It had a bunch of air bubbles in it and was really dirty. Now the clutch pedal does feel a little smoother.
