this has happened twice already...........every time it rained, not a major rain storm, just moderate.........my car wont start.........it cranks but thats all it does........can someone tell me whats wrong? and it starts once its all dried up.............could it be my starter? or water has got into the intake?

i would say it hydro locked up but that couldnt be. do you have the whole intake pipe.

 

do you have cold air intake?

 

Give your dizzy and ignition leads a good clean, then a good spray of WD40 it will help keep dampness from settling on your electrics.

 

well the thing was it was just parked overnight............didnt drive it at all.......just weird to me

 

It could be the main relay, do a search on it.

 

First thing I would change if they ahven't been changed in a while are the distributor cap and rotor. I have the same problem you described. Turned out to be the cap and rotor. They were worn out.
