i have a 99 civic si and i'm getting the cel code p0133 which is Rear Air/Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 1) Circuit Slow Response. Which o2 sensor is this one? Is it the header or the one on the cat? And does this circuit slow response means that i should replace the o2? And i'm getting a codeP1457 Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Control System Leakage (EVAP Canister System), what can i do to fix this problem? Thanks

 

if it says rear o2 sensor, then that would be the one on the cat

 

P0133 is Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1). Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the O2 sensor in the front on the exhaust manifold.

yes, slow response means you have to replace the sensor because it is no longer able to keep up. You cant really "fix" an o2 sensor, as most cleaning products will also ruin the sensor if sprayed directly on lol. Your EVAP system code is most likely due to a vacuum leak. Maybe your gas cap is loose? maybe a vacuum hose popped off.

Before you replace anything related to the evap system, change the O2 sensor first, and see what happens. There is a Honda TSB that states the DTC code P1457 may be caused by the PCM doing a diagnostic test on the evap system before the primary heated oxygen sensor is ready. If this happens on two consecutive trips, the Check Engine Light comes on, and the DTC code P1457 is falsely set.
