Default 1991 B21a1 SI

sup, just purchased a 91 prelude si for an amount of money id get jynxed for if i told people, great condition and 109k miles pulls like a champ.. i thought it was a 2.0 for a bit but i checked vin and its a 2.1, now, just wondering anyone know the reliability of this engine, goods, bads, is it a great engine, why is it non vtec, i know electrical aspect of the car isnt great, the passenger window barely goes down and the driver side is out of place.. i heard these engines, b series in general burn oil, basically someone just tell me i got a great strong engine with lots of potential
and whats the difference between the si and the 2.0 si.. i appreciate all responses and excuse the noob for any mistakes he has done, ill post pics soon and btw its 5speed, they dont make much aftermarket performance parts for this car that sucks, but i searched and read this car responds well to bolt ons if you find them..

Its non vtec b/c its non vtec. This b-series is not the same as the B16/B18's found in acura's and other hondas.

Wow, is he mad tyte streeet razer?!

abouelmm, check out http://www.preludepower.com, they have much more info on 3rd gens. That's not to say honda-tech isn't a great resource, just that there's a bigger 3rd gen community at preludepower.

Difference is the 2.1 has a little more power. They are also known to burn oil. There really isn't much in terms of aftermarket performance parts. There have been a few people who have turbo'd the motor as well as a few who swapped in an H22. You should check out preludepower.net

Well you asked why a non vtec motor is non vtec, lol. You have a 91, they didn't have vtec in anything before 92 in the states.

I 2nd the preludepower notion, very good following over there.

ok good, so no one really knows reliability, it should be good, it shifts goods but needs some minor work like oil change and all that, the car has been sitting for 6 months without running, any things i need to to besides oil change, should i tune it up and if i do need to what should i change? plugs and wires and fuel filter? thanks
