What would be involved in switching from a trunk lid with the OEM optional wing to one with no wing?

I'm looking to trade someone my trunk lid with the wing for their lid without a wing, if I can find someone. I just want to know everything ahead of time, in order to make it a smooth transaction if I do, indeed, find someone willing to trade.
I know that my car supposedly has heavy duty trunk springs to support the weight of the wing. So I'm assuming that a car without a wing would not have trunk springs that would be able to support mine, that does have the wing.
I'm also lost as to how the brake light is wired, as far as whether it's a plug and play type deal or what. I bought the car with the wing, so I have no experience with it.
I hope all that made sense.
Cliff's notes: I'm pretty much wanting to know what parts I would need to include with my trunk lid in order for a person's car without an existing wing to be able to use it.
Do I need to give them the trunk springs? Is there a wiring harness of some sort that they need? etc.
Any help is appreciated.

You know you can just remove the spoiler, right? The trunk holes will need to be filled and the paint may be a little rough in some areas, but a buffer and a quick trip to the bodyshop would probably be cheaper than picking up a junkyard lid and having a quality respray.

Uh, yeah. It's pretty obvious that I can take the wing off and fill the holes and paint, but I want a lid that came from the factory in EBP and has never had a wing. Not to mention, if I'm able to find someone to trade me, it'll cost me nothing.
I appreciate the input, nonetheless.
