well i have been thinking ALOT lately.
i have been keeping down 2 jobs, 1 full time and 1 part time. my part time one is almost 2 yrs. and it'll be 6 months this next middle of june for my full time. soooooo............
i want to do something special for my car. my original plan was to take out a loan for around $6000, and fix it up and do something fun to her (body work, turbo, custom exhaust and what ever else)
i have been thinking ALOT. dont get me wrong my car has rust. dunno how much but there is places that its showing (1/4 panels and sunroof), and not 20 mins ago i just checked the inner rear wheel wells, they're rusted too!!!!!!
not to mention that its also a TOTAL LOSS car!
but its got sentimental value, i have had it for quite sometime now. i already put a new sohc zc in it. new rims and tires, and lowered it. not to mention suspension work to her too!
so then i checked out a local importer here in canada, and they have on they're list, this... http://www.importconcern.ca/perl/b_list.pl?11174 now dont get me wrong, but i LOVE the SIR glasstop's and they're rare! but the thing is they sell REAL quick! and i dunno if its gonna sell before i get confirmation for my loan or not!
so i dunno what to do! i live in canada, and importing a car from japan is a heck of lot easier than importing one from the states.
so please help me decide what to do! please be serious about this! keep in mind that i still dunno if i'm able to get a loan in the first place!
Update:
well i called my bank, and here's what they said:
they said that i am approved for a 5000$ line of credit and basically i can do whatever i want with that money. which is good!
but they also said that i am approved for a $10,000 CAR LOAN, but there is restrictions to that. they can only give me the loan if the car is currently located in the country and they also base the loan off of the blue book, and if something happens that i cant pay it off, they take my car away! but none the less i'm approved for the 10k.
soooooo i dunno what to do. should i be really happy that i got the 5000$, and just fix up my car. and make it look nice? or chance the $10,000 loan, try and import the car and such.
i would try and import the car on the $5000 line of credit, but i have to come up with the rest of the money some how. and my car wont sell for more than 2000$ unless i do some body work to her and such. please help. lol

do not take out a loan to restore your honda. if you cant afford to do it without the loan, dont do it. save and wait until you have the money and do it one at a time.
