hey guys, just a quick question.

i have a 98 gsr and am pulling the motor and tranny out to put a b18c5 in it, if not a b18c.

-problem being i dont kno whether or not i can use a 96-97 spec type r motor or do i HAVE to use the 98+ spec motor??

because on http://www.hmotorsonline.com/ they offer both the 96-97 spec and the 98 spec.

and i wanna keep this little project cost efficient, soo...yeah.

but would the 96-97 spec bolt right in is what im asking?

 

to answer your question, you CAN use the 96-97 spec type r motor.
