Default oil in the coolent resivour

i just replaced my head gasket i havent even put 5 miles on it yet and i started it and knoticed that the hose going to my coolent resivour from my rediator has a thin skim of what looks like oil any idea why? also it just started to spit a little blue smok and more water then normal out the exhaust not much but a little
any help would be great thanks

Don't panic just yet, it could be residue from the previous condition. Take it for a good ride checking your engine temp constantly. Then recheck. Did you check for flatness of the head and deck?

i did not i had to have the machine shop look at my head and they said everything looked fine is there any way of checking if the head gasket is fine with it all together? compression is 185 all accross
