600 and starter bike is an oxymoron.

Uncomfortable in what way? I'm 6' and never had trouble fitting a 600. They're supposed to be compact. Perhaps you need to adjust the controls to fit your body - move the brake and clutch lever positions, move the pedal positions, clip-ons, etc.

yea why you go for a busa and just get it over with.... if you want a 600 get a 599. you can afford insurance and wont kill yourself so quick. plus they are more comfy. its also basically same engine as the f3i.

f3i ? no such thing

an f4i would be a good starter bike if you can afford it and insurance, if not get an f4 or f3. Also make sure you leave money for proper equipment and msf classes.

a larger bike will be just as uncomfortable.

riding position on a sportbike is something that's totally unnatural. it's something you get used to, or give up on and then move on to nekkid bikes.

besides 6'1" isn't too tall for any bike i know of.
