Default Welding a motor mount bracket on frame rail any advice?

I'm mig welding the motor mount bracket onto my frame rail because hasport doesnt make mounts for the b16a swap/conversion in a DA teg i know i called. which sucks because my car was auto but converting over 2 manual. So i ripped out the automatic bracket thats tack welded 2 the frame rail with a chisel and ballpeen hammer just gotta fill in sum holes.lol. or what do u think? i have a new bracket from honda that needs 2 be welded in but i know its gotta b right on the money because if its not ill be going through cv axles every month or sumthin like that. Do any of you PROFESSIONAL FABBERS have a good method on how to align the bracket before tacking the weld? anything would help, thanks.

Not sure if the chassis mounts are different, as far as I know I thought the engine mount was different. I know in other chassis all you need is the manual mount with swaps like this.

The chassis mounts and tranny mounts are different I just did the same thing for a friend. Just drill out the spot welds and reweld the old spot welds on the other mount. Pick a stationary point on both vehicles. IN my instance i used a 10mm bolt hole that common between both chassis's scribed a line onto the mount. Scribe it across the frame rail vertically near the battery tray. then scribe another line on the bottom from another bolt hole. Using the center of the hole as guide from both cars. Do it on both mounts from each car simple as that. Line up your lines and weld away!

since you bought the new mount to weld in, just find another DA and measure from the firewall (or another fixed object) to the mount. Copy it to your car. Nothing a tape measure and a little time can't resolve easily.

Heck, on one car I did, I just walked by someone with the right car at the grocery store. She looked at me cross eyed, but let me pop the hood, measure it, and go on my merry way. lol
