I just bought an AE86. All good but needs to be painted. I am doing the prepping myself to save $$$.
Now, what do I do? need? start with? etc?
I can't find anything on Google such as the sandpapers to use etc?
No body work needed, I just need to prep the surface. TIA

 

is it a hatch AE86? how much did you buy it and is it in good condition? let me know if u think of selling it cause my friend has been looking for one.

 

actually i wouldnt suggest you prep the car yourself,

if you were going to i'd suggest paying the 300-400 for a paint gun and a compressor and paint it yourself

 

I just want to prepare the surface and the body shop will just charge me $300 for painting. I don't need an elaborate paint job being a 15 year old car. I just want it to look decent at least.
No one knows on the type of sander to buy, the stages to use or sandpaper grit? TIA
