I hear a little knock after the oil change today!
Posting this for my brother
I helped him changed the oil on his type s today. After putting everything back in place he fired it up and then i noticed a little clicking sound coming from the engine. After a few minutes the cel came on. This never happened to my S or the EG. Everybody's input on this one is greatly appreciated as he is very paranoid about it and i have no answers for him.
oil used- Mobil 1 5-30
quarts used - 4.8
Filter - Fram
Thanks in advance!

its probably because you dont have enough oil in it. you should let it warm up for a while and then see if the noise is still there. If you give it some gas and the sound goes away when u get oil pressure in the motor its probably just the tensionor for your timing chain smacking around. If the noise continues to still be there my suggestion would be to go get the oil changed at your acura dealer or something.
Problem solved!
This morning we fired the motor up again and the same problem persist so this is what we did.
Changed spark plug to OeM( used to have NGK iridiums)
Opened the gas tank for a few minutes while idling.
Then of course a Veeetak run
After this we parked the car in our garage and listened to it then guess what its gone.
We ran the car for 10 more minutes to see if its gonna come back but it didn't.
Check engine light also came off.
Note: If you hear the same thing do not assume that the steps i did will fix it too.

Read again homie! I did not state that the plug was the reason for the tapping noise. I just did what i felt like doing. Then again it worked for me but it does not mean it will work for you.

I did not pull any codes and the cel was not flashing.

First of all the stock plugs are ngk iridiums you can look it up in your acura manual. IMO you are still a quart low and you might hurt something!
