yeah, i know its not the perfect thing, itll blind oncoming drivers, blah, blah, BUT i am going to use them just for a while...im saving for customlightz to make a cayenne's projector retrofit....
so here are the results....
before

after

it took me all of 1.5 hrs..
timed 5 min to remove the bumper
had a smoke
installed the bulbs, ballast and tied everything, bout 45 min
had a smoke
about 8 min to reinstall the bumper
the rest for cleaning and storing tools

yeah youre right
info on the kit:
xenon storm brand 6000K
ive chosen 5000k but the dealer screwd it and sent 6000k...im gonna try and see if i like this...otherwise, im swapping these (just the bulbs) on my silverado, i think both have 9006 bulbs for lowbeams, and get 5000k for the civic...
the kit cost me about $215uscy

You speak of it so nonchalantly but you'll seriously be a hazard on the road at night.

Do it right or dont do it at all

since the install, havent seen ANYONE flash their high beams...
and the improvement is about 50% better lighting i guess....but im not happy cause i had projectors on my previous car and that was a great diference, compared to this setup....so...sorry if i blind someone, ill doit right when i have the means (money-time) to do it 'right'...until then...sorry.
ill try to take pics tonight.

just because no one has flashed you, doesn't mean it's safe to assume that your not blind the **** out of oncoming traffic

maybe its not completely true, but id assume its close...
drive with your high beams on and watch 9 out of 10 cars flash theirs cause of the blinding...

dont forget blinding not only on-coming traffic but the guy ahead of you. An integra came bechind me with badly aimed HID so I brake checked him (he was also riding my ***) and he swerved into a mailbox.

moral is, don't be a moron about saftey issues because someone else may do the same to you

brake checking somebody because they are on your *** and have bright lights? Sounds like you were being a moron about safety issues to me

I would say the right thing to have done would have been to pull over and let the guy pass you, then possibly flash your lights at him once and be on with your day.

these were taken in a hurry at a sam's parking lot, so please forgive the quality and blur in some of them..the area is well lit, but you can have an idea of the amount of light....

the lateral

up from driver's side

front

through the sunroof
