Default Buying an 05 Type S

I recently sold my s2000 due to a few factors. Hard, but i got 2gs over kbb so that helps a bit... . Anyways, i am buying a type s now. Heres the dilemna; atleast in my area youy cant get a 02-04 Type S with decent miles for under $16,000. Ive got 4gs for a downpayment, and am now considering buying an 05. This due to the fact that I found one in Cali with 33,000mi for $18,000...in vivid blue pearl. Im thinking about this one hard and just wondering if thats a decent price and if I should spent the extra couple grand in getting an 05 with less miles instead of using it to tune an older model. Any comments will help thank you...im on the fence

why spend money to mod it when you cant even pay off the car?

yeah thats what im thinking. I was going to get an older one and drop a bit more than a grand into right away, but i think id rather put that towards the down payment and get an 05... i love that vbp color...
