Default Tranny Swap ???? NEED HELP!

I have a 1997 Honda Prelude SH and I swap out the SH tranny and atts unit for a M2A4 tranny equipped with a KAAZ LSD. I already got the intermediate shaft and the drive axles all on. But when I connect the two shift linkage I can't shift in the cockpit. I was thinking maybe I need to swap out the linkage and use the older 92-96 Prelude linkage. Has anyone ever done this? or anyone know what the problem could be?

the base prelude linkage is the same as the SH linkage. The m2a4 is off the same year prelude as the tranny.

The linkage should work just fine.

Have you tried shifting it at the transmission yet, if not try that and get back to us.
