Default Small Mods for Performance?

Hey everyone, I'm looking to do small mods to my B16.
What are some mods that I can do?

New spark plugs and wires? I heard iridium plugs and wires are good. Is there anything better?
Crank pulley kit?
Octane booster?
Fuel pressure regulator?
Chip my ECU (what's the best chip?)
Do any of these offer noticeable performance?

Is there anything else you can think of, smaller things?
What about an intake manifold, what does this help with?

Absolutely everything you listed there is useless for performance on a stock b16. Do intake/header/exhaust and if you have the money, an intake manifold.

Alright, cool.
What would those other mods do, just make my engine run smoother? last longer?
What does iridium plugs and wires help with?

You won't notice any changes with bolt-on's on a stock B16...plain and simple.

if you upgrade atleast get a street tune

Simple mod with minimal costs involved;

Remove the **** airbox-de-fuser-baffle from the wheel well, leave the stock airbox drawing cold air from the wheel well. Replace stock paper air filter with Jackson Racing, K&N or same type oil bathed filter for 5hp add. (< per Oscar Jackson).

Nice job! What kind of wheels for you/him?

Big wheels/brakes = larger rotating mass. More mass, more rolling resistance. More resistance equates to more energy(hp#'s) needed to propel mass through same distance as mass with less rolling resistance.
