Ctr Red strut Bar
so ive had this red honda strut bar for a while for my 98 civic sedan and i finally want to install it. i just dont know what size, kind of bolts/nuts i need, . i know where to tap the holes just wondering if anyone could help me out, are the bolts supposed to be hardened or will any kind do. is this something i could order from the dealer
I believe you'd use some M10 or M8 bolts, I'd use stainless or coat them to prevent rust (after its installed with maybe some undercoating or just some paint), maybe no more than 15mm in length?
There should be either two plugs or two spots that you have to drill on the shock towers, and fromt there it should be pretty straight foward.
The stock bolts are welded to the chassis. I'd put the bolts you buy in through the bottom so you can tighten them from up top. Use some locking washers/star washers (the ones with grippy teeth) to keep them tight.
