how doI find out if my strut is leaking.

alright Turns out one of my shocks is bad in my coilover set. Is it possible to just switch the springs from my old shocks and drop in the good ones. but with out the adjustable coilover. do you get what Im saying. can I use the spring on the adjustable coilver and jut use the spring to drop the car
