halo headlights on a 6th gen, anybody done?
So, even though I swore I wouldn't rice on my Accord, i love the look of Halo / Angeleye headlights, and am considering purchasing a set from Ebay in the near future.
How are is the swap? I'm looking at the ones that come prewired with connector, for "plug and play"... but is there any wiring involved? I'm not scared of wiring, but I'd be more comfortable with a plug-to-plug application. Also, any traits I need to look for? Recommended dealer on Ebay for them?
And the big question: Do the side lights still show orange? That's a DOT regulation here in Louisiana. Just cause its stamped SAE/DOT don't mean squat if the turn signal doesn't show orange.
Thanks in advance.

You could get away with angel eyes and not be hated on too badly IF (and only IF) you stay away from Ebay halo headlights. I once stumbled upon a guy's website who did his custom projectors with angel eyes on a 6th gen silver sedan and i've never seen a cleaner 6th gen in my life. He also hooked up one of his friends who has a green cb7 who i believe frequents this site (if you know i'm talking about you, sorry for the stalkerishness of my post, but help this guy out). Here's a link to the cb7's page, check that out, compare the pics to what you were looking at on ebay, and then feel bad for even thinking about buying ebay halos.

In my honest opinion, if you don't have the funds to do the full projector swap like these guys, stick with a DIY black housed headlight. Looks great on the 6th gen and its cheap to do. Best of luck to you and your accord.

If you wanted to go with ebay ones, I don't see any problem....sure they won't look as nice as custom ones but if your budget doesn't allow, then I'm sure there's no harm. If you have the right body setup, I think they'd look good.
Oh, and the signal bulbs will still be orange, because you use your existing amber bulbs. Only the high and low beam are different....also, there is a marker bulb next to the signal, but you can leave that out if you wish.
The Ebay lights are more my budget. I just bought a set of Moetgi FF7s and tires, they're going on Tuesday. So it'll be a month or so before I can afford the headlights, but I don't deam it as a mod worth a lot of money. I've seen some real nice looking ones on Ebay.
Question: What is the fitment like? That is my largest concern. I don't want bad gaps on the sides or top. If they don't do "blue" very well, its ok, I like the roundess more than anything.
Also: Do I need to buy different bulbs for the high/low? Some come with bulbs but some don't.
What about installation? Anybody have experience intalling them? Are they truely plug and play?

The fitment on mine are perfect...no gaps or weird offset. But I bought mine from matrixracing.com and someone said they're the same as ebay headlights. The high and low beams are H1 and H3 bulbs....the stock bulbs are 9005 and 9006, so you will spend about $60 just for bulbs.
Installation was pretty easy. Pretty much plug and play - the only thing that I wired up was the halos and marker bulbs which come on when I put the park lights on. If you don't do it that way, I believe it'll come on when you turn your low beams on.

Ive got my head lights from ebay as well the halo projector black http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1 and they look decent some space due to the body kit but besides that they look nice. And yes the stock bulbs are 9005 and 9006 which are decent but I went on and bought some super white ones that make them look even better for 60$. Which is gay because the lights I bought off ebay were H1 and H3 the seller sent me the wrong ones which were 18$ for both sets but instead of me waiting I bought the 60 $ pair from an audio shop like a fool.
